Turmeric Ginger Tea

Turmeric and ginger are two of the healthiest ingredients known to mankind. This drink isn’t just a cold remedy tea but rather a daily detox and rejuvenation.

I drink turneric and ginger tea every day, and it has been a god sent to me. I first discovered this tea while I had a pesky cold and flu that wasn’t dissipating. I started making this every day and my flu symptoms went away. Not only that, my energy levels started climbing day by day.

This drink has incredible properties that detoxify your body and liver. Turmeric is a spice used in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine for centuries. Its anti-inflammatory properties help with a whole array of conditions such as chronic pain, arthritis, cancer, and diabetes. One of the greatest properties of turmeric is that it is alkalizing, which helps the body heal and detoxify. It also increases your metabolism. I’ve started using turmeric on my skin which is a superhero against wrinkles and elasticity.

Just like its counterpart, ginger has a whole array of health benefits. Some of the main benefits of ginger is its ability to decrease muscle soreness, reduce nausea symptoms, indigestion, menstrual cramps, and cold symptoms. Now, add turmeric and ginger together and you have a natural power house that is detoxing your liver and building your immunity.

If you are trying to go caffeine-free, this tea is a wonderful alternative. You can also use any herbal tea such as green teas, herbal teas such as chamomile or mint. You can add a touch of sweetness such as honey or agave after the tea is done boiling.

Place water in a small pot, let it simmer covered on low heat with ginger, turmeric and lemon slices for 20-30 minutes. Remove from heat and add herbal tea bag of choice (mint, chamomile). Add a touch of agave for sweetness and serve.
