Breathe deeply, gather these ingredients, and treat yourself to a delicious smoothie infused with the flower of relaxation. Goodbye stress and hello self-care! Let’s make a Stress Free Lavender Green Smoothie!

Lavender comes from the scientific name Lavandula, with a family of 39 species of flowering herbal plants, and related to mint. Aromatic and sweet, lavender is known for its relaxation properties. One of the best known balancers, lavender is well known in the massage, yoga, and aromatherapy world for its role in reversing symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and even arthritis and menopause.

To use lavender with this recipe, you will need fresh or dried organic lavender flowers or food grade organic dietary lavender essential oil. Most lavender oil is not food grade, and if you use the oil, you will only need one drop. Less is more!

Stress Free Lavender Green Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup organic liquid (organic almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk, coconut water—from a real young coconut is tops—water, etc.)
  • 1 handful organic spinach
  • 1 organic frozen banana
  • 4 organic medjool dates (remove pit)
  • 1/2 cup organic blueberries
  • ½ tablespoon organic lavender flowers (or one drop food grade organic essential oil)

Directions:

In a high powered blender, add your preferred milk and the spinach. Blend the two together until really smooth. Then add the rest of the ingredients and pulse. Add scoop of ice if desired. Enjoy!

Optional: You can add 1–2 tablespoons of raw organic fat—let’s say raw organic almond butter (I would omit this if you’re trying to lose weight).

Optional: You can add 1–2 tablespoons of raw organic raw coconut oil (I would omit this if you’re trying to lose weight).

Optional: Add another 1/2 cup of organic fruit.

Optional: Add a scoop of organic vegan protein.
