People today are voting more often for their vitality with their spending on nutrition. More and more, people are looking at their food, reading labels, and taking responsibility for what they put into their mouths. They want to support businesses that help them reach their goals and that are socially and environmentally responsible. Of all those companies, Sunwarrior is leading the way and gaining accolades and respect for being eco-friendly and socially positive. Just take a look at their mission statement:
“Sunwarrior's mission is to illuminate body, mind, and planet. Sunwarrior relies on the original power from sunlight, captured by the wonderful plants found in nature, to change the way the world looks at fitness and nutrition. Join them in their mission to share the health and healing energy from captured sunlight with everyone and truly transform the planet, one warrior at a time.”
Sunwarrior, like Michele the Trainer, encourages people of all lifestyles to improve their health by eating healthier. Sunwarrior’s foods products and supplements are raw, vegan, organic, have no GMOs, and most are allergen free. You can read more about the Sunwarrior Difference here. Even just a decade ago Sunwarrior’s founders couldn’t find the healthy proteins and supplements their bodies craved, so they created them.
“We started our company with a dream to create something natural, healthy, and as close to the nutrition our bodies know and love as possible,” said Nick Stern, cofounder of Sunwarrior. “We’ve encouraged a culture that carries these sustainable and earth-friendly ideals into all aspects of our company mission and our lives.”
Need a quick, clean “go to” food? If you have a busy lifestyle or travel a lot, Sunwarrior’s products can really help. And with new single serving packets, Sunwarrior protein is even easier to take with you.
I encourage you to try Sunwarrior’s product line. They are delicious! And if you read the label, you’ll understand all the ingredients. Make a smoothie from the zillion recipes they have available in their Superfood Smoothie Ebook or on Sunwarrior News. Here’s one of my favorite Sunwarrior smoothie recipes.
Sunwarrior’s office is also making news. Eco-friendly and socially positive businesses create healthier, happier workplaces. Remember those great business books by the founders of Patagonia and Cliff Bars? I’m sure you’ve heard of and watched videos about Google’s work environment and wellness programs. Sunwarrior is one of those great companies, and growing. If we take pride in our work, it’s wonderful to have a supportive workplace. If you’re striving to be and stay healthy and you want to support health conscious work environments, look no further. (Some of the comments still indicate a huge resistance to self-care, but for those of us with a health passion, it’s an eco-friendly dream come true.)
They’re also continually striving to improve. In an attempt to break away from unrecyclable bags, they put their products in biodegradable bags and recyclable boxes. Unfortunately, the bags were too biodegradable and didn’t often make it into homes intact, and the boxes had a number of problems on their own. So they replaced them with tubs made of one of the safest plastics available that are “made entirely from recycled material, BPA free, phthalate free, and completely recyclable.” The fun, tongue-in-cheek video they made about this packaging change says it best: New Sunwarrior Packaging is Tubtastic!
Through purchasing power, people want to support the health and future of our earth environment with investments of all sizes. We, the consumers, are changing business:
“Inc. magazine ranked Sunwarrior number 850 on its 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. Sunwarrior was ranked number 539 in 2013 and number 395 in 2012. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy--America's independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio, Oracle, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500|5000.” Barchart.com
Eco-friendly helps the environment, decreases our carbon footprint, and protects our earth home. I think it’s important to do what we can personally and to vote with our eating habits, but it’s also time for more eco-friendly businesses and investment options. Sunwarrior for your health, the earth, the oceans, the children, and ourselves.
