Sunwarrior, your leading vegan supplement company that creates plant-based protein powders, supergreens, and mineral complexes, completed a company-wide five-day juice cleanse this past week.
“We watched the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead on June 11th and thought we would encourage our employees to step up the challenge,” said Cody Roberts, Operating Manager of Sunwarrior. “We have training meetings twice a month that focus on our culture and our mission as a company, namely plant-based nutrition focusing on raw, organic, whole-foods and environmentally beneficial practices. Our employees get a fun break and learn something important.”
The Sunwarrior employees accepted the challenge and stepped up to the scale and the juicer for an entire work-week, not consuming anything but fresh fruit and vegetable juices and water for five days, clearing their systems of toxins, fat, and cholesterol while maximizing the amount of antioxidants, vitamins, and phytonutrients. A couple employees chose to extend their cleanse an extra day or two and one employee actually did a ten day cleanse. As a whole they lost 100 pounds.
“It was a little rough going for a couple days, but then my energy levels rose rapidly about day four,” said Luci Maloy, Assistant to the Chief Marketing Officer. “It was actually amazing how good I felt when I expected to feel weak and hungry. I’m glad I did it and I’ll probably do another a few times each year as a reset button for my body.”
“We’re happy to report that everyone survived,” said Roberts. “We’re proud of all our Sunwarriors. They were all troopers throughout the cleanse, upbeat, joking, and having fun. We really have the best employees out there.”
Those who completed the five days were added to a plaque in the hallway to mark their accomplishment. Sunwarrior is now working on new training sessions and challenges in the future.
