Cleansing Detox Meal Ideas with Creamy Cilantro Sauce

These meal ideas are so simple and so good for you. Don’t let the look trick you into thinking it’s boring—the creamy Sunwarrior sauce really makes the meal and there are so many different variations you can do. These include lots of vegetables, especially dark green vegetables, plant based protein, fiber, enzymes, antioxidants, and phytonutrients to keep your energy levels high, immune system strong, and digestion working efficiently. These super clean meal ideas help reset your metabolism and are allergen-free, gluten-free, and anti-inflammatory.

Gracious Living Creamy Cilantro Sauce:

  • ½ to 1 cup cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons Sunwarrior natural (unsweetened) protein powder
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free tamari sauce
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 chunk of peeled, fresh ginger
  • 1/3 to 1 cup water (see instructions below)
  • Sunwarrior Sea Salt to taste

Directions:

Start with 1/2 cup of water in the blender. You determine how thick you want your sauce to be. If you want more water, add just a tad more till you find a consistency you like. Add the rest of the ingredients to the blender. Blend till smooth and creamy. The chia seeds will expand and thicken the sauce if you let it sit for 15 minutes or more. I like to make this yummy sauce and then attend to other things like making the rest of dinner, setting the table, etc. Then after 15 minutes, I blend it again so it’s nice and creamy and evenly mixed, and pour over my salad, steamed veggies, or gluten-free grain. You will love it!

Rainbow Salad:

Make a salad with dark green leafy vegetables. I like to add as much color as possible in my salad for a variety of vitamins and minerals. You can add whatever you want to yours, but I used kale, spinach, arugula, dandelion, red cabbage, red pepper, yellow pepper, and radish for this particular meal in the photo. Use the Gracious Living Creamy Cilantro Sauce as a salad dressing.

Steamed Veggies:

Gracious Living Creamy Cilantro Sauce goes really well over steamed veggies. Steamed veggies with this meal included lightly steamed (not boiled) brussel sprouts, zucchini, and broccoli.

Gluten-free Whole Grains:

Gracious Living Creamy Cilantro Sauce is super yummy with gluten-free grains like quinoa, brown rice, wild rice, millet, or buckwheat noodles.
