Vegan Gluten Free Salted Caramel Waffles
In this hilarious, informative, and entertaining vegan recipe video, celebrity chef and Cooking Channel TV host Jason Wrobel shows us how to make gluten-free, vegan salted caramel waffles. Follow along as Jason creates a quick, easy, and tasty salted caramel sauce by simply throwing a mish mash of ingredients into a blender. Next he throws the waffle ingredients together, mixes, and drizzles the goodness on the griddle. Plate it up, add your favorite toppings, and top it off with the salted caramel sauce. You won’t be sorry.
Vegan Gluten Free Salted Caramel Waffles
Ingredients:
Caramel sauce:
- ¼ cup coconut milk
- ½ cup coconut nectar
- 2 teaspoons yacon syrup
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons mesquite powder
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
- Squeeze Immune Shield
- 1 cup raw macadamia nuts
Waffle mix:
- 1 cup premixed gluten free pancake/waffle mix
1 tablespoon ground golden flaxseeds
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon coconut nectar
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings:
- Vegan chocolate chips
- Sliced strawberries
- Sliced banana
- Shredded coconut
Directions:
Add all your caramel sauce to a blender and blend until smooth. Set aside
Add the three dry waffle mix ingredients to a large mixing bowl and whisk together. Then add wet ingredients of waffle mix to the dry and mix it all together, making sure to mash up any lumps as much as possible.
Lightly oil waffle maker with a bit of coconut oil. Pour waffle mix onto griddle until brown.
Plate up the waffle and top with vegan chocolate chips, strawberries, banana, shredded coconut, and, of course, the salted caramel sauce. Now dig in and try not to faint from the deliciousness!
