This smoothie has been rocking my world lately along with rocking my nutrition intake and recovery time. With Spring time here in my neck of the woods, I've been more active outdoors (yard cleanup, pulling weeds, and working/planting in my organic garden)—ALL fun for me. I've also been going to yoga class twice a week and WOW! Can I just say, yoga is an amazing practice to tone and build the mind and body.
Whenever I am pushing my body harder physically, the need for more minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants is a necessity. The muscles in my body are FEELING all of these activities so much more right now. Therefore, it's time to UP the nutrient uptake and that's where Sunwarrior Warrior Blend Protein Powder comes to the rescue! I love how Sunwarrior protein powder adds a great taste and texture to all my smoothies and the nutrition is just amazing.
- 1 cup almond milk (or your nut/seed milk of choice) - Hemp seed milk is a great choice!
- 1 scoop of Sunwarrior Warrior Blend Protein Powder (I use Vanilla)
- 2 heaping tablespoons raw cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon Maca
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
- A few dates (or stevia to taste)
- 1 cup blueberries (optional but NICE!)
Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender (I use a VITAMIX) till smooth and creamy. Add any toppings that you might desire—raw cacao nibs, fresh local bee pollen, dried mulberries, or organic hemp seeds, or just drink as is. It tastes amazing and floods your body, cells, tissues, and muscles with easily digestible proteins and nutrients that they absorb and assimilate beautifully so you can KEEP ON MOVING.
