Quick and Easy Fried Bananas with Honey

It’s the afternoon or midmorning and you just got a serious attack of the munchies. You don’t want to eat anything too unhealthy, but you’re craving something sweet and special. And you only have ten minutes before you’ve got to be back in that meeting or shuttling your children to their next activity.

Fried honey bananas might be the perfect thing for you! Made with all healthy ingredients, this little dish will also satisfy any sweet tooth. Take just one minute to watch the recipe, another four to actually make it (and even get cleaned up!), and you can get right to enjoying this yummy treat. Well, at least until it’s time to pick up the kids. Enjoy!

Quick and Easy Fried Bananas with Honey

  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
  • Coconut flakes
  • Pecans

Directions:

Lightly drizzle (or plop if the coconut oil is cold) oil in a skillet over medium heat. Arrange your banana slices so they’re all flat in the pan and cook for 1–2 minutes on each side.

Once they’re nice and brown, remove the pan from the heat and plate up your treat. Allow it to cool, then sprinkle coconut flakes, pecans, a drizzle of honey, and a dash of cinnamon over the top. If you’re generous, you’ll share this little delicacy with your family or friends, but we can’t blame you if you hoard it to yourself! (After all, we did!)
