Green Matcha Coconut Latte: Energy Elixir

When you need a quick shot of healthy energy this green matcha coconut latte energy elixir has got your back!

We all need a pick me up, almost every day. It could be the mornings or the time of the day when you try to avoid the sudden crash. Though coffee is truly one of my favorite drinks, I sometimes switch to black tea, herbal teas, and of course green matcha. Switching your “pick me up” drink is essential to avoid addiction to one type of beverage and also allows your body to have a chance to adapt and benefit from different ingredients.

Green matcha tea that originates from Japan is well known for its health benefits:

  • Anti-inflammatory and packed with anti-oxidants
  • Energizes you by boosting metabolism
  • Balances PH level in your body
  • Detoxifies effectively
  • It’s rich in Vitamin C, selenium, zinc, magnesium, and chromium
  • Lowers blood cholesterol level

One of the best ways to consume this magical powder is in the form of latte. It’s perfect for any season and any time.


Green Matcha Coconut Latte: Energy Elixir

  1. Using a small pot, heat the coconut milk with cinnamon stick and sea salt
  2. Once it comes to a boiling point, remove the cinnamon bark stick
  3. Add rest of the ingredients to the pot and give it a quick whisk until all ingredients are blended in

If you would like to serve it cold, simply blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender and add ice to it

Tips: If you find the matcha powder to be clumping, use a small amount of milk and the powder and whisk it well and then add the rest of the milk and ingredients
