Eating raw vegan food never tasted so good as with this spin on a favorite snack: popcorn. This cauliflower gives you something to say "cheese!" about!

This live food twist on typical popcorn offers you way more nutrition and enzymes and a great way to increase your veggies! I know it sounds weird, but don’t knock it till you try it because this one is delicious and so easy to make. I have fed it to popcorn addicts many times and they LOVE it! The addition of maca helps give energy, the nutritional yeast gives it a cheesy flavor and nutritional boost without the dairy, the turmeric and cumin helps reduce inflammation, and the raw coconut oil helps burn fat. Open your mind and give it try! Good health is not only the foods you eat but also being open minded to trying new things. Instead of pop, pop, pop, it’s chop, chop, chop!
Gracious Living Superfood RAW Vegan, Cheesy “Popcorn”
Ingredients:
- 1 head cauliflower, chopped into bite size popcorn pieces
- 2–3 tablespoons Nutritional Yeast
- 1 teaspoon raw maca powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Sunwarrior Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon liquid raw coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Himalayan sea salt to taste
Directions:
Put everything in a bowl. If you have a lid that fits on the bowl, shake it up really well, otherwise stir well to make sure all the oils and powders are evenly distributed.
Superfood variations and additions:
Add 2 drops of anti-inflammatory, immune boosting, organic black seed cumin oil. It is very strong, so be careful not to add more than that. (You can read more here: http://www.naturalnews.com/038644_black_cumin_oil_immune_system_NK_cells.html)
Replace raw coconut oil with XCT Bullet Proof Oil (I use this brand: http://www.bulletproof.com/xct-oil-32-oz)
Add 1 teaspoon camu camu powder for a Vitamin C boost (I use this brand: http://navitasnaturals.com/product/443/Camu-Powder.html)
Instead of eating it as “popcorn”, use it as a topping on a leafy salad, or as a side dish with your meal.
Why You Need To Eat More of Super Veggie Cauliflower:
Cauliflower is anti-inflammatory, rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, helps with brain health, heart health, balancing hormones, detoxifying the liver, and improving digestion. Cauliflower contains sulforaphane, a sulfur compound that has also been shown to help with cancer healing and cancer prevention. Sulforaphane in cauliflower and other cruciferous vegetables has also been found to significantly improve blood pressure, kidney health, and protect the heart.
Combining cauliflower with curcumin (the active compound in the spice turmeric) helps boost the immune system. Research shows that this combination can help with cancer prevention and cancer healing. Nature is so cool!
