Juicing is a great way to get high amounts of nutrients in one go. People can do a juice fast or simply add more vegetables to their diet by juicing. This concept is great even for kids who refuse to eat their greens. One can easily use green juice as a base for a yummy green ice cream.

For years, juicing has been reported to reverse diseases and improve the immune system along with skin, hair, and eyesight. However, even though the benefits may be high, people look away from juicing due to the color or taste. And that’s a simple fix! Adding semi-sweet fruits like apples or acidic fruits like oranges can help reduce the bitterness of leafy greens.

Though juice fasts are popular, fasting for days is not necessarily the best alternative for people who are physically active or are already healthy. Consuming at least one green drink supported by a plant-based diet is more than sufficient. If you are starting to enter a healthy lifestyle, then doing 1-day juice fast every week can help. Note: Juicing for long periods of time can lead to losing teeth enamel, create more acid in your body, disturb insulin levels and lead to muscle loss. Juicing is an add-on to a healthy diet, not a diet by itself.

Here are some great juice recipes that are delicious and packed with essential nutrients.
