Rustic Pear Tart

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ cup tapioca flour
  • ¼ cup coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons ground Sunwarrior Chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon coconut butter
  • ¼ cup almond milk

  • 2-3 large ripe pears, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon coconut butter
  • 1 tablespoon tapioca flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Non-dairy milk to brush on the crust

  • Preheat oven to 375F
  • In a bowl, combine all the crust ingredients (flours, chia seeds, coconut oil, coconut butter, and milk), and stir until thoroughly combined as a meal.
  • In another bowl, combine pears, coconut butter, maple syrup, tapioca flour, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  • Lay a sheet of parchment paper on top of a cookie sheet and place dough in the center.
  • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until there is an even circle, roughly 10-12 inches in diameter.
  • Place the filling mixture into the center of the dough, leaving about 2 inches to fold over the top. Fold the dough and gently crease with your fingers.
  • Brush the crust with almond milk, and then sprinkle any desired additions on top.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until edges brown.
  • Let cool, then remove from parchment paper and serve! Enjoy 😊
