Quick Easy Vegan Recipe: Hibiscus Energy Tea
With summertime quickly approaching, Jason Wrobel, aka J-Wro, brings us one of his favorite teas—the hibiscus energy tea. This is a quick recipe that takes about 20 minutes in all.
4 cups warm water
1½ tablespoons ginger, chopped
Few stars of star anice
1 stick cinnamon
2 teaspoons allspice berries or juniper berries
1 teaspoon whole cloves
3–4 hibiscus tea bags
Bring all above ingredients to a low roiling boil for about 20 minutes to steep. Drain the mixture over strainer into a bowl.
In a Pitcher Add:
Juice of 1 lime
4 cups room temperature water
Then add the hibiscus tea to the pitcher of water. For sweetener, add stevia to taste (probably about ½ dropper).
Serve up with ice and enjoy.

Add fresh lime juice and Sunwarrior Liquid Light to more filtered water, and combine with your hibiscus concoction. For added sweetness, put in a drop or two of liquid stevia. Voila! There you have it, the perfect hibiscus tea to serve to your friends and family.
