Jason Wrobel, aka J-Wro of the J-Wro show and the Cooking Channel's "How to Live to 100", indulges us with a vegan beverage to warm the cockles of your heart, Orange Apple Cider. Depending on the chill factor of your area, this may be exactly the warm, comforting deliciousness you need. It might be perfectly adequate cold, but warm is how this drink really shines. This recipe is also super simple and quick, ready in just 30 to 40 seconds in a blender. Steamed water, apples, oranges, apple honey, cinnamon, ground cloves, and a pinch of salt is all it takes to have you feeling snuggled from the inside soon. Feel free to kick it up a little with more honey or a dash of cardamom or nutmeg. Enjoy!
Apple Orange Cider
Ingredients
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 apples, cored and peeled
- ¼ Valencia orange, peeled
- 2 tablespoons Bee Free Honey
- 1½ teaspoons cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- Pinch Himalayan crystal salt
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth and frothy, about 40 seconds. Be sure to hold the lid down as you blend to prevent a cider explosion over the kitchen. Once smooth, pour into mugs and serve immediately.
