Winter skin care

Winter is here, and so are cracked lips and dry skin and frizzy hair. A winter skin care is absolutely necessary for the softest you possible!

A winter skin care routine is nothing like your summer routine. Winter is all about moisturizing, sipping warm tea, and wearing warm clothes. Due to the drastic climate change and dry air, we end up mostly with scratchy dry skin, unmanageable hair, and blocked nostrils.

Here are things you can use during winter that would keep your skin glowing and your hair in control

Coconut Oil

This oil is pure magic! You can use it internally and externally. Coconut oil is well known for its anti-bacterial and moisturizing benefits. Taking a spoon of it internally can help you cleanse your system, soothe ulcers, improve digestion, and even get rid of gallstones. When you warm up coconut oil and apply it over your hair and skin and leave i for about 30–45 minutes, the oil penetrates into your cells and helps to rejuvenate your skin and makes your hair thicker and stronger

Beeswax

Unlike artificial petroleum-based salves and lip balms, beeswax is naturally obtained from honeybee hives. They are well known for their anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergenic properties. Using beeswax on your skin and lips can prevent chapped lips, dry cracked skin, and even acts as a layer of protection on your skin. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to rashes or irritable skin, then this is for you.

Avocado

Avocado, also known as the butter fruit, can be used on your face as a moisturizing mask. Simply cut ½ an avocado and add 1 tablespoon lemon juice to it and mash it up. Gently apply it on your skin, let it stay for above 15–20 minutes, and wash it off with warm water . Avocado is high in Vitamin A, D, and E and helps to lubricate your skin as well as gives you the quick glow you need.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is found in many beauty products due to its amazing benefits. But, the best way to use this is to simply buy an aloe Vera leaf and take out the gel from it and rub it on your skin and hair. Due to its amazing anti- inflammatory and anti- bacterial properties, it soothes your skin, heals burns and cuts, and even gets rid of dandruff in your hair.

If you are an active person and need a non-greasy moisturizer that will protect your skin and hair then this is the one for you.

Brushing Your Skin

Last but not the least. For your skin to heal and rejuvenate, you need to get rid of the dry skin that sits on the top layer of the skin. By not doing so, you are just be allowing your body to create layers of dead skin, that would lead to itchy, cracked, and bruised skin. Use a dry brush and gently brush your skin before shower once a week. After showering, moisturizer thoroughly.

Eat right. Stay active. Be happy.
