If you’re not one of the 1% of the population who’s highly allergic to peanuts, then this smoothie is for you. Peanuts and peanut butter are surprisingly good for your health. The healthy oils and high protein help with weight loss, diabetes, and even Alzheimer’s disease. Studies have found that peanuts can help lower the risk of heart disease and types of cancer and can even help reduce the risk of diabetes.
You can’t have peanut butter and jelly without the berries. For this recipe, Koya uses strawberries. If the amazing sweet flavor isn’t enough to sell you on this fruit, the host of benefits may. Strawberries, like most berries, are full of antioxidants. They are an excellent source of vitamin C, and help boost immunity. Strawberries help promote eye health, fight bad cholesterol, and can even help your skin look younger.
