Sunwarrior Goes Even Greener

Sunwarrior, a Southern Nevada company and a leading provider of plant-based protein powder and supplements, announced today that they have started a new green initiative to more closely realign their culture with the company mission.

n

The Sunwarrior mission is to illuminate body, mind, and planet. Sunwarrior strives to provide plant-based nutrition in the closest state provided by nature to promote health, strength, and longevity. Everything they make is raw, using the finest organic ingredients. This covers the first part of their mission, but they are working toward excelling in the other two aspects of their mission statement too.

n

“We began this company with a dream to create clean, plant-based protein, something designed by nature for maximum health without being overly processed and stripped of nutrition,” said Brent Hauver, cofounder of Sunwarrior. “We’ve encouraged a culture that carries this principle into other areas of the lives of our employees and customers, but there is always more we can do. We will be releasing several books this year, written by the three founders to help spread the mission and we’re working on lowering our carbon footprint too.”

n

As part of the company culture, employees reuse paper when printing or taking notes. Most Sunwarrior employees carpool to and from work. They also have access to organic food and product provided by the company and they are asked to reuse glassware when making smoothies, juices, or other plant-based foods while at work. A more plant-based diet is better for the environment, cutting carbon emission substantially as less fuel is used to ship plant-food than animals, feed, and meat. Furthermore, each month the employees gather for training on green food, practices, and principles.

n

“We’ve always urged our employees to reuse and recycle,” said Hauver. “We are now making that easier by providing quality glassware in our kitchens and recycling bins in each department throughout our headquarters. We use motion sensitive lighting that shuts off electricity when no one is using it, we purchased a more energy efficient copier, and our first company car, purchased this month, is a green hybrid vehicle. We love seeing our mission expand and we will continue to seek out more ways we can be green and preserve our wonderful planet as our company continues to grow.”

About Sunwarrior

n

Sunwarrior was born on a warm Arizona evening in 2008 during the Sedona Raw Spirit Festival. Three different men with three different dreams met with one desire, to create a company and a product that benefit mankind and the planet mankind occupies.

n

Brent Hauver, Denley Fowlke, and Nick Stern each had to overcome distinct health difficulties for themselves and their families. Each turned to plant-based nutrition to aid their quest for health, but those roadblocks also steered them toward a better way of living and to this fateful meeting.

n

The three men combined their dreams, their savvy business personalities, and their environmental consciousness to create Sunwarrior, a company committed to making the best plant-based products while elevating humanity and preserving the planet.
