The skin is the largest organ of your body, and one third of your toxins are excreted through it. Sometimes dead skin cells may start piling up, trapping the toxins. One way to get rid of excess dead skin cells is by dry brushing. Purchase a natural bristle brush (available at most beauty stores and many drugstores), and begin brushing in long sweeping motions toward your heart. Brush several times in each area, taking care as you brush over more sensitive areas. Once you have brushed, hop in the shower, and (after getting out) pat dry your skin and apply a natural oil, such as coconut or olive oil, to nourish the skin.
This can be done a couple times a week to a couple times a day. After a few days, you’ll have silky-smooth skin you’ll be proud to show off.
