Healthy skin is the key to the fountain of youth. Tap into your youth with apple cider vinegar!
Marzia Prince, health and fitness expert, is out of the kitchen this week to explore more of the healthy choices we can make elsewhere, like at the vanity during our beauty regimen. Today, she tackles her favorite, natural, organic toner.
In any skincare program, you have the cleanser, the toner, and the moisturizer. Many toners have a ton of different chemicals that aren’t all that great for you in them. Toners are supposed to help finish off the cleaning process and shrink pores, but you really don’t want to be putting harmful chemicals directly into your pores. It kind of defeats the purpose of cleaning them in the first place. These chemicals can cause drying effects or oily effects or give any number of unwanted reactions.
Marzia was happy to find something different after doing her research on how to keep her skin clean naturally and healthily. She discovered that apple cider vinegar makes a great toner. Yes, you heard it right: apple cider vinegar.
The recipe is easy and way less expensive than those fancy store bought toners with all their harmful chemicals. All you have to do is mix one part apple cider vinegar to three parts water. Soak a cotton ball in the mixture and apply the cotton ball liberally to your face, let your face dry, and then apply your moisturizer. You can also add aloe and other skin toning ingredients.
Now you have one of Marzia’s best skin care secrets. Enjoy healthy, glowing skin and feel great, knowing how simple and cost effective your natural skin care can be!
