What is a UTI

Urine is generally based in an acidic environment, keeping it safe. An infection takes place when bacteria enter the urine through the urethra and continues upwards in the body. Even though the main contents of cranberry juice are citric acid, malic acid, and quinic acid, a huge amount of this juice needs to be consumed for such an effect.

E. coli bacteria contain fimbria that produces two kinds of adhesins (mannose sensitive and mannose resistant). The fructose content and high molecular weight compound in cranberry juice act as an inhibitor to these adhesins. Drinking cranberry juice every day may give you some positive results. Make sure it's freshly made, with no added sugar or preservatives.


Apple cider vinegar is rich in essential enzymes, amino acids, and minerals. It's also highly alkaline in nature after ingestion. Owing to its antioxidant and antibacterial properties, it helps to destroy bacteria build up and builds a stronger immune system.

Make sure you buy the raw, organic, and unpasteurized version of apple cider vinegar. It's important that it contains "the mother" in the liquid. You can add 1–2 tablespoons of ACV in a glass of water and drink it 2–3 times a day.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is the cheapest and easiest way to prevent UTIs as it is highly alkaline in nature. Consuming baking soda on a daily basis creates an alkaline environment, preventing any bacteria and virus build-up. Make sure you buy the aluminum-free baking soda.
