Facial Cleansers, Peels, and Scrubs! Make your own for Winter Skin Care!

Getting smooth, hydrated skin this winter just became easy! Let us show you how to make your own facial cleansers, peels, and scrubs!

Just like nature changes every season, so do our mood, hair, skin, and the microbes in our body. Our body naturally tries to adapt to the new season and shows us signs that would urge us to switch things up and create new routines that would suit us best. Winter is here, and though the snowflakes and yummy hot chocolates are a plus, the dry, chapped skin and frizzy hair come along with it. Here are few recipes that you could make at home for a better winter skin.

Jojoba Tea Tree Oil Cleanser

Dry skin accumulates during winter. To remove the dead skin and give your face the glow you need, you may want to switch up your facial cleanser to a more oil-based one. Jojoba is known for its anti-inflammatory and moisturizing benefits, while tea tree oil reduces acne, kills bacteria, and leaves your skin clean and smooth. {9kucur9p}

  • 2 ounces jojoba oil
  • 1 teaspoon tea tree oil
  • 1 ounce rose water

Mix the above ingredients, apply on your face, and rub it in a circular motion, leave it on for about 5–10 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

Beeswax Orange Peel Face Balm

During winter, your face needs a thicker moisturizing cream to soak into your skin through the dry layers and give you a warm glow. Beeswax is well known for its moisturizing benefits. It being rich in Vitamin A and packed with essential minerals is the perfect winter ingredient. Orange peel is high in Vitamin C, and it’s well known to soothe the skin and give it an extra layer of protection from the toxins in the environment

  • 1 teaspoon beeswax
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel (small)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Mix all the ingredients in a paste. Using your fingers gently apply on your face in circular motion. You could also use orange zest oil as a variation

Coconut Coffee Scrub

Exfoliating your body using a good scrub helps remove dead cells, prevents ingrown hair, and leaves your skin smooth and clean. Coffee, which is amazing to drink, can also be used as a scrub to tighten your skin, reduce cellulite, remove ingrown hair, and keep your skin fresh. Coconut oil is well known for its antibacterial and moisturizing benefits. Using these two together can do wonders for your skin.

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grounded coffee (finely grounded)
  • 2 drops vanilla essential oil

Mix all ingredients together. After rinsing your body with some warm water, gently scrub your entire body in circular motions and rinse it off. You can do this 2–3 times a week to obtain healthy skin.
