Marni Wasserman shares her favorite morning energy-boosting smoothie recipe that’s full of nutrition to get you going in the morning!rn
Smoothies are one of the quickest ways for your body to digest and assimilate nutrients, and are sure to give you a boost of energy. Add in any tasty ingredients that you love plus a handful of greens. Your body and mind will thank you!
This recipe is full of delicious, healthy ingredients. The vegan milk is ahealthy alternative to dairy milk and easy to digest, and the protein powder is an easily absorbable form of protein to help build immunity. Blueberries are high in vitamin and minerals, and the banana provides potassium and natural sweetness. Your chopped up mango, peaches, or pear thickens your smoothie and is full of fiber and other essential nutrients (mango has beta carotene).
For the non-vegans out there, honey has antiviral properties and soothes the stomach and throat. Honey can easily be switched out for pure maple syrup which has natural nutrition straight from the tree.
And for your handful of greens, spinach is a natural source of calcium, magnesium, chlorophyll, and iron.
You can enjoy this recipe first thing in the morning, after a workout, or for that midday snack!
