5 Quick Tips to Feeling Healthy, Fit, and Radiant!

Have you longed to know the secret to being and staying healthy and fit? Are you curious about trying the latest, greatest fitness and diet fad that can help you lose weight? Have you often wondered with so many diets out there which ones really work and which ones don’t? How can all of today’s popular diets make miracle claims and not lie?

As a health and fitness professional and fitness competitor I have always been interested in meeting, reading, or hearing about people who exude health and wellness. I have always wanted to know their secret. I have done extensive research in various medias and publications in order to keep abreast of the latest cutting edge health and fitness information.

Do you know what the Zone Diet, the High Fat, High Protein diet, and the vegetarian diets all have in common?

Think about it—all the above mentioned diets are leaving out the major foods and habits that disrupt the human physiology. For example, included in these diets are recommendations to stop smoking, avoid drinking alcohol and soft drinks, avoid carbohydrates, refined sugars, candy, cakes, and so on. I think you can get the point here. These diets will show temporary results not necessarily because of what they are eating but what they are not eating or what they are leaving out. Every single diet can show some benefit to people especially if they are adding more vegetables (especially raw) to their plates. Therefore, what you omit from your diet is just as important as what you include in your diet.

The key to success is to start setting parameters and consistently leave out foods that do not make you feel healthy, fit, and radiant.

Here are 5 tips you can adopt that will help improve your health right away.

Gradually begin to omit the negatives foods. First of all, think about the foods that you are still eating that no longer satisfy you or make you feel radiantly healthy. Set small, realistic, and attainable goals.

Slowly progress to eating fewer refined and starchy carbohydrate foods, such as white pasta, refined breads, processed cereals, white sugar, and chemical sweeteners such as aspartame. Eventually you will start to feel healthier and you will want to eliminate these foods all together.

Gradually eat less animal protein and limit your use of dairy, especially milk and cheese, eggs, and processed meats. Reduce all animal meat by at least half to start or eliminate it all together.

rn

Eliminate use of margarine, refined oils, butter, and salted & roasted nuts and seeds. The most dangerous fats are typically found in margarine, shortening, and heated oils.

rn

Start to look for superstar alternatives. Here are some suggestions.

What you can choose instead: Whole grains such as quinoa, buckwheat, brown or wild rice, sprouted breads and cereals, brown rice pasta. Use honey, maple syrup, stevia, or dates as sweeteners.

What you can choose instead: Nut or grain milks, for example almond, rice, or coconut milk. Substitute with alternative protein sources like beans, legumes, nuts, and seeds more often. Sunflower, pumpkin, or hemp seeds are great substitutes!

What you can choose instead: Health-promoting fats and oils like flax, hemp, cold-pressed olive oil, and coconut. Eat healthy fats such as avocado, raw olives, nuts, seeds, and nut and seed butters.

If you begin to implement these tips at least one day a week, choosing healthier alternatives will gradually become a daily habit. It might take one month, six months, or even one year. Wherever you are on your journey to optimum health, let it be known that once you start feeling radiantly healthy, alive, and full of energy and vitality you will not want to turn back.

If you find that you are struggling with leaving certain foods behind then make sure to add more raw foods to your diet, especially dark leafy greens, and drink plenty of fresh vegetable juices and filtered water to help maintain a healthier alkaline versus acid balance.
