Getting tired of the same old smoothie day in and day out? Here’s one with yummy pistachio and healthy bee pollen to change up your routine.
What is bee pollen?
According to Dr. Mercola, bee pollen contains all the essential components of life. Bee pollen is the food of the young bee and is approximately 40% protein. It is considered one of nature's most completely nourishing foods and it contains nearly all nutrients required by humans. About half of its protein is in the form of free amino acids that are ready to be used directly by the body. Such highly assimilable protein can contribute significantly to a person’s protein needs. It is very powerful so use very sparingly.
Bee pollen is known to reduce cravings and addictions, improve endurance and vitality, build new blood, extend longevity, aid in recovery from chronic illness, regulate the intestines, and protect against radiation; it also has anti-cancer qualities.
