Natural Cure- UTI

Opt out of the bathroom races. A urinary tract infection is always problematic, but the good news is a UTI can be cured naturally.

What is a UTI

Urine is generally based in an acidic environment, keeping it safe. An infection takes place when bacteria enter the urine through the urethra and continues upwards in the body. One of the main culprits for such infection is E. coli. This is generally found in the colon and can leak out and place itself at the entrance of the urethra. From there, it travels farther up into the bladder causing an infection.

Generally, when emptying the bladder, bacteria and other toxins are flushed out. But if the individual has kidney stones, those can block the flush. Or if the person has too many bacteria at the urethra, then it would be impossible to flush it all. UTIs (urinary tract infection) are dangerous if the bacteria travel from the bladder and move up to the kidneys causing a kidney infection.

UTIs: Natural Remedies

Cranberry Juice

One of the well-known remedies for UTIs is cranberry juice. According to the Oxford Journal, it has been proven that cranberry juice doesn't ward off bacteria because of its high acid content. Even though the main contents of cranberry juice are citric acid, malic acid, and quinic acid, a huge amount of this juice needs to be consumed for such an effect.

E. coli bacteria contain fimbria that produces two kinds of adhesins (mannose sensitive and mannose resistant). The fructose content and high molecular weight compound in cranberry juice act as an inhibitor to these adhesins. Drinking cranberry juice every day may give you some positive results. Make sure it's freshly made, with no added sugar or preservatives.

ACV

Apple cider vinegar is rich in essential enzymes, amino acids, and minerals. It's also highly alkaline in nature after ingestion. Owing to its antioxidant and antibacterial properties, it helps to destroy bacteria build up and builds a stronger immune system.

Make sure you buy the raw, organic, and unpasteurized version of apple cider vinegar. It's important that it contains "the mother" in the liquid. You can add 1–2 tablespoons of ACV in a glass of water and drink it 2–3 times a day.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is the cheapest and easiest way to prevent UTIs as it is highly alkaline in nature. Consuming baking soda on a daily basis creates an alkaline environment, preventing any bacteria and virus build-up. Make sure you buy the aluminum-free baking soda.

You can take 1 tablespoon of baking soda in 16 oz. water and consume it on an empty stomach or before meals.

Coconut oil and Turmeric

Coconut oil and turmeric is a powerful combination; coconut oil is well known for its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory content, and turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory and curative properties. A tablespoon of this can strengthen your immune system, get rid of toxins from your system, and help UTI.

UTIs can generally be prevented by maintaining an alkaline diet and by consuming lots of water. Your body can naturally detox itself if you maintain a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.
