Go Green for St Patrick’s Day, Inside and Out
March 13, 2015Thinking green for St Patrick's Day is a great idea, but not just in clothing choices. It's the perfect time to add more vegetables to your diet. Think about it. Not only does St. Patrick’s Day embody green, but spring begins only four days later and plants with all their delicious fruit start to grow. People start to think about spring cleaning their homes and bodies and getting prepared for summer and the beaches that go with it. Really, it just makes sense to take this chance to eat green.
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t the healthiest of holidays traditionally, and even more so now with all of the green-tinted junk foods you can easily pick up in any grocery store. But we want to make St Patrick’s Day synonymous with healthy greens.
“With all the green colors floating around this week, it’s a perfect time to promote our Ormus Supergreens and hopefully encourage people to think green internally, not just with their clothing choices,” said Denley Fowlke, cofounder of Sunwarrior. “Supergreens is a refreshing drink alone or easily added to a fruit smoothie.”
Sunwarrior isn’t alone in their mission to encourage the American public to eat more greens. Parents and scientists have been telling the world for years that fruits and vegetables are good for us. Studies show that consuming more than 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily reduces the risk of coronary heart disease by 17%. Greens are rich in enzymes, minerals, and vitamins that our bodies need and rely on for good health and fitness.
Another study demonstrates the power of fruits and vegetables over appearance, skin tone, and coloring, proposing the idea that people who eat their greens are more attractive than those who don’t.
Sunwarrior Ormus Supergreens make adding more servings of greens easy. Make your St Patrick’s Day greener this year and mix yourself up a smoothie with Ormus Supergreens in it!
