Do Pull Ups with Proper Form
February 10, 2017So many of us get exercises wrong, which means we don’t get the most out of them and we risk injury. Let Tim show you how to do things right.
Your favorite trainer/dietician Tim McComsey is hitting the gym to show you exactly how to do pull ups with the proper form. So many of us get exercises wrong, which means we don’t get the most out of them and we risk injury. Let Tim show you how to do things right as he demonstrates on the assisted pull-up/dip machine. Do an overhand grip on the bar, equal on both sides. As you pull yourself up to the bar, stick your chest out, keep your elbows tucked in, and keep your body in a straight line. Do a dead hang on the bar to start, pulling your navel in. Exhale as you pull up and inhale as you drop. Squeeze your lat area at the top. Don’t let your elbows flare backward. When doing this simple exercise properly, you should feel it in your lats, rhomboids, and shoulder blades. If you want mad back gains, this is how you do it the right way.
