We’re keeping it cheesy in all the best ways with this rosemary garlic “cheese” spread. This spread is sure to be your new favorite reason for being vegan!

It’s that time of year where there is a party going on somewhere pretty much all the time. Here is where you can be the hero of your next get-together. Make up a vegan “cheese” spread filled with flavor and goodness! This spread is much easier on your digestive system than a dairy based cheese would be and tastes amazing. All the time is in the soaking, freeing you up to get to the things that are important in your life.

Vegan Rosemary-Garlic "Cheese” Spread

  • ½ cup plain cashews (soak in hot water for at least an hour or overnight)
  • 1 tablespoon your desired oil (avocado oil, grapeseed oil, garlic-infused oil, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Garlic powder (I used a rosemary-garlic spice)
  • Pinch of dried or fresh rosemary
  • Dash of salt and pepper
Total Time

Prep Time

5 min

  1. Drain the cashews and add into a blender on HIGH speed, mixing along with oil, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar 3–5 minutes or until smooth, desired consistency. (Resembles a creamy-cream-cheese or hummus-like texture)
  2. Transfer to a small dish and add the creamy spread to bagels, toast, toasted tortillas or veggies! You may even use this to substitute cream cheese in any dish.
  3. Store in airtight container
  4. Lasts up to 3–4 days
