Want an uncomplicated smoothie with simple ingredients and great taste? Then this green goodness smoothie is for you!

green_smoothie_hands_mason jar_blue dress_bianca johnson_picThis smoothie is one of my favorite recipes because it’s a perfect combination of fruit and greens. The bursting flavors of mango and pineapple mask the bitterness of the kale and spinach. Dates provide tons of dietary fiber and essential vitamins and minerals. It’s been said that you could survive off just three dates per day! They are great to use as an alternative sweetener instead of refined sugar. The hemp seeds add a perfect combination of omega 3s and 6s. Hemp seed could very well be one of the most nutritious seeds in the world. It’s got a nutty flavor and a crunch that adds some texture to the smoothie.

Green Goodness is a great way to start the morning or a perfect way to end a workout. No matter what your diet, it’s important to make sure you’re getting enough protein to support you throughout the day. Protein is the building block for muscle, bone, blood, cartilage, and skin. You need it to repair tissues in your body you’ve put strain on by being active or even by participating in your day to day activities. Not all protein is made equal, so make sure you check where your protein is being sourced from and if it’s high quality and easily absorbed by your body. Bad proteins often contain fillers you don’t need or artificial flavors or sweeteners. Don’t forget to get your greens on!
