Recipe: Delicious Hummus


  • 2 ½ cups garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 ½ tablespoons tahini
  • 3 ½ tablespoons lemon juice, fresh squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, diced
  • ½ tablespoon cumin
  • 1 or 2 pinches kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Add ingredients to food processor and pulse until blended.
  2. Serve in a bowl with crackers, celery stick, carrot sticks, crustini, etc.
  3. Top with a dash of paprika for color, and garnish with a green onion fan.
  4. Enjoy!

  • Sorry, but this isn't raw if the chickpeas are cooked, definitely not if canned.

      Don't worry, we definitely didn't use canned chickpeas, and we didn't cook them either. You can actually soak them for 12 to 24 hours to get them soft. But you're right in that we didn't explain that in the recipe. Thanks for pointing that out! We'll add that information right away. :)
