Apple pie doesn’t just have to revolve around the holidays. But since the holidays are here . . . we have an apple pie smoothie for you!

You can make an apple pie smoothie any time of the year, any season, any day, and any hour you like. If you’re someone who loves apple pie, there’s no reason not to extend your enjoyment beyond special occasions. Talia Pollock, the energetic and zany host of Party in My Plants is talking about transforming one of your favorite desserts into a much easier to manage smoothie, so you can grab a jar and go, rather than bake, slice, or unbutton anything in the process. {9kucur9p}

DIRECTIONS

This smoothie is the healthiest and smartest way to enjoy the essence of apple pie in the form of a green protein smoothie. Start with a blender. Toss in one chopped apple. Don’t forget to remove the core. Add a handful of spinach, a scoop of vanilla Sunwarrior protein (your choice of Classic, Warrior Blend, Classic Plus, or even illumin8), a third cup of rolled oats, one teaspoon of cinnamon, one-eighth teaspoon of nutmeg, one-fourth teaspoon of cloves, one-fourth teaspoon of ginger, one tablespoon of nut butter (your fave), and three-quarters cup of almond milk. Add ice if you really want your apple pie smoothie chilled. Blend away. Pour in a jar and enjoy!
