Quick and Easy Spicy Sweet Potato Wedges

Spice up your kitchen and your life with an easy to make side dish. Grab some sweet potatoes, olive oil, and your favorite cooking spices, and create a masterpiece that’s sure to receive “oohs” and “ahhs” from your family or friends. Got a hunger? There’s a wedge for that!

Quick and Easy Spicy Sweet Potato Wedges

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • sweet_potato_wedges_spices_baked_pic1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan crystal salt
  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

sweet_portato_fries_wedges_homemade_yum_picPreheat oven to 425° F. While it’s warming, stir together spices and salt and set aside.

Slice your potatoes into wedges about an inch thick. Add potatoes, olive oil, and spices to a bowl and toss until potatoes are covered. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and place the wedges on it with space around each one. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven, flip the potato wedges, and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
