Vegan Chocolate Mousse

Savor the flavor of creamy, chocolate-y mousse where every bite is so mm-mazing, you won’t even know it’s good for you!

Chocolate is divine. Delicious. Decadent. Healthy. Really nothing better. I’m sure there are some who would disagree but overall, most people like chocolate. Chocolate has a tremendous antioxidant potential if there is a high cocoa content. When paired with coconut cream, this dessert becomes the king of healthy desserts!

Coconut cream does have fat but it’s a healthy fat, not like its non-vegan cousin. Coconut cream belongs to the medium chain fatty acids. They are smaller in size than long-chain fatty acids, so they burn quicker and our bodies won’t store it in fat tissues for reserve.

Cocoa has wonderful health benefits. Besides being an antioxidant, it can also help lower LDL cholesterol and high blood pressure. It can also be an antidepressant because it contains phenethylamine.

A recipe with only four ingredients with no cooking required will be a go-to when you need something quick and delicious. You can add a splash of Vitamin Mineral Rush to add some extra health benefits to your dessert!

  • 1 can coconut milk—full fat
  • ¼ cup Sunwarrior Cacao powder
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions

Refrigerate the coconut milk can overnight

Once cold, open the can and scoop out the solidified coconut cream to a mixing bowl. Save the coconut water for a different recipe. Using either a stand mixer or hand beaters, whip the cream until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and whip until it forms a mousse-like texture. Enjoy!
